Senior HCA

Senior Healthcare Assistants (HCAs) are an essential part of any healthcare team and play a vital role in the care and support of residents. Alert Health 24 are constantly seeking qualified and experienced Senior HCAs to join our team and deliver high-quality care!

Responsibilities of a Senior HCA

As a Senior HCA, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive care and support to residents within a care or residential home environment. This may involve assisting with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and toileting, as well as administering medication and monitoring vital signs.

In addition to your basic responsibilities, you will also be expected to take on a leadership role, supervising and supporting junior members of staff to ensure the delivery of safe and effective care. You will be expected to work collaboratively with the wider healthcare team to promote the wellbeing of residents and ensure their individual care plans are followed.

Becoming a Senior HCA

To be considered for a Senior HCA role, you must have a minimum of two years of experience in a care or residential home environment, with a Level 3 NVQ in Health and Social Care or equivalent. You must also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
